Canadian vocalist Johanne Blouin is a multi-faceted artist who has dabbled in jazz, pop and musical theater throughout her career. A native of Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec, she took to the performing arts at a young age. She went on to study dance, music and musical theater at some of the most prestigious institutes in the country. She started her career in the '70s as a cabaret singer in clubs in and around Quebec, and later found work on television in the musical Starmania. The year 1988 saw the release of her debut album Merci Félix, which was followed by an eponymous album a year later. A highly celebrated artist, she has been the recipient of honors such as the ADISQ Awards.
