American alternative rock quartet Super Whatevr arrived on the scene in 2016 with music that channels the feel of the early 2000s. Vocalist Skyler McKee began his career playing with different bands all over California while working on his own songs on the side. In the city of Huntington Beach, CA he found the kind of openness and acceptance towards different genres that helped hone his writing and develop his sound. After a friend suggested that he record his own material, he put together a band of his own. Robert Rutan, Thomas Waale and Luke Mensink were invited to fill in as the guitarist, bassist and drummer respectively and thus Super Whatevr was born. The band released its debut EP Good Luck in 2016 and began building a solid fan-following. The EP was re-released the next year after the band signed to Hopeless Records. Super Whatevr's first full-length album Never Nothing was released in 2018, followed by 2020's Don't You Wanna Be Glad? Some of the band's most popular songs include "Melancholyism,"Kathrin With a K," "For You," "Bloomfield," "Someone Somewhere Somehow," "Telelelevision" and more.
