Animal Prufrock is a multidimensional artist who has left an indelible mark on the queer rock scene. Co-creating the renowned duo bitch and animal in the '90s, Animal Prufrock established a reputation for pushing boundaries and challenging norms. After a hiatus from the road, Animal delved into the world of theater, writing and starring in a musical adaptation of the comic "Hothead Paisan" and sharing the stage with the influential poet and theorist Judy Grahn. Academic pursuits led Animal to earn a Master of Fine Arts degree and embark on a journey towards a PhD, aspiring to become Dr. Animal. Throughout this artistic odyssey, Animal Prufrock collaborated with Ani DiFranco, immersing themselves in the creation of a heartfelt record that beautifully captures the essence of love, with all its magical, melancholic, radical, and vulnerable facets. The album "congratulations; thank you + i'm sorry" unfolds like a shoebox filled with letters, pictures, and postcards, painting a vivid tapestry of love and heartbreak.
