Des Bishop

Desmond Ryan Bishop is a comedian who is better known simply as Des Bishop. Having been brought up in New York before relocating to Ireland as a teenager in 1990, Bishop has a dual outsider-insider take on Irish society that makes his brand of observational comedy particularly enticing for both Irish and American audiences. Between his hilarious renditions of regional Irish accents, Bishop tackles social issues of poverty, classism and American politics through his satirical, often self deprecating, point of view.
