JLS

JLS, which stands for "Jack the Lad Swing," is a four-piece British, R&B boy band. Marvin Humes and Ortisé Williams founded the band when both wanted to participate in the casting show, X Factor. Although the group earned runner-up in the competition, in 2008, it gained a record deal and went on tour with Lemar. They have enjoyed moderate success after that experience, with a fairly mainstream audience. The group's music is pop and R&B. Its debut single, "Beat Again," was released mid-2009 and tppped the Britsh charts.
