Jesca Hoop

Jesca Hoop is an American singer/songwriter from California. Growing up, Hoop was exposed to traditional folk tunes and got her start while babysitting for Tom Waits. Hoop gained experience in various music styles. Her musical mentor is Tom Waits who has said "her music is like going swimming in a lake at night." Her music is experimental folk and folk rock and is heavily based on soft vocals and guitar.
