Gerry and the Pacemakers were a British rock and roll band from Liverpool, England, active from 1959 to 1966. The band was led by singer and songwriter Gerry Marsden, and included his brother Fred Marsden, Les Chadwick, and Arthur McMahon. The band is best known for their hit singles "How Do You Do It?", "I Like It", "Don't Let the Sun Catch You Crying", and "Ferry Cross the Mersey". Gerry and the Pacemakers were one of the most successful acts of the British Invasion, and their music was a major influence on the Merseybeat sound. They released four studio albums during their career, including their debut album, "Gerry and the Pacemakers" (1963), which featured their hit singles "How Do You Do It?" and "I Like It". The band also released the albums "It's Gonna Be Alright" (1964), "Ferry Cross the Mersey" (1965), and "The Original Hits" (1966).
