Suicide Silence

Suicide Silence is a heavy metal band from Riverside, CA that was formed in 2002. Following the release of its debut album The Cleansing, in 2007, the band found immediate commercial success and embarked on tours of the US, Europe and Australia. With a sound that borrows elements of death metal and metalcore, Suicide Silence creates an extreme brand of metal dubbed death core for its fast-paced, double bass drumming and vocal transitions between high-pitched screams and deep growls. Though the band was reduced to a four-piece outfit in 2012 after a motorcycle accident tragically took the life of lead singer Mitch Lucker, Suicide Silence went on to honor its late front man's memory by continuing to create its signature, abrasive brand of music.
