Formed in New York in 1999, Taking Back Sunday is an alternative rock band that experienced a considerable amount of commercial success throughout the 2000s. After independently releasing its full-length debut Tell All Your Friends, in 2002 and its follow up Where You Want To Be, in 2004, Taking Back Sunday began earning increasing amounts of mainstream exposure and eventually signed a recording contract with Warner Bros. Records in 2006. The band's major label debut Louder Now, earned widespread critical acclaim and earned the respect of international audiences as well as its faithful following from its independent days. Despite major changes to its lineup, Taking Back Sunday continues to be a driving force behind contemporary alternative rock with releases such as its 2011 eponymous record.
