Dylan Moran is a comedian, actor and filmmaker from Ireland who is known for his observational brand of comedy. He first earned recognition in 1993, when he won the coveted So You Think You're Funny award at Edinburgh Festival, and has since stood out among the crowded comedy club circuit of the UK with his various one-man shows, including his 1997 tour, Gurgling For Money. Moran transitioned from the stage to the screen seamlessly as the co-creator and star of the Channel 4 sitcom Black Books, which ran for four years between 2000 and 2004, and went on to appear in films such as the 2004 spoof Shaun of the Dead, and the 2013 black comedy Calvary.
