With a combination of live and electronic instrumentation that includes synthesizers, guitars and drums, Future Rock is a dance music duo based out of Chicago. The group uses a foundation of heavy synthesizer work to build its songs upon, as the steady pulse of house music and elements of dance rock creep in. Future Rock has been compared to other popular electronic duos such as Justice and Daft Punk, yet it takes advantage of some of its more left-field influences--like the spacey drone of 1970s krautrock--to distinguish itself as a unique entity. Besides the duo's albums of all original material, it is also known for its remixes of groups such as DFA1979 and Black Moth Super Rainbow.
