Incarnations is an indie pop band formed by three musician friends based in both Oakland and New York City. Each in a number of bands already and with 3,000 miles between them, the three members had often talked of collaborating on a project together, but hadn't been able to find the time. Cut to 2010, when a small Spanish record label called Lovemonk offered to put the band up in a sunny beach-side house on the coast of Southern Spain for two weeks, with the sole intention of yielding an album. The laid-back nature of its environment no doubt crept into the slinky, electro-tinged grooves and tropical funk found on Incarnations' debut album, With All Due Respect.
