Omar S is a house and techno producer operating out of the Detroit area. Also releasing material under the guises of Oasis and Alex. O. Smith., he has developed an underground fanbase of electronic music connoisseurs throughout the Midwest thanks to his solo work and also the releases put out by his label, FXHE. With his deep house tracks, Omar S creates chic-sounding grooves that drift by with washes of synthesizers and drum machines set atop the steady bass pulse of house music. He continues to remain an important figure in Detroit's popular and influential electronic music scene.
