Comanechi

Guitarist Simon Petrovitch and drummer/vocalist Akiko Matsuura comprise the British punk rock duo Comanechi. The London-based band plays a raw style of hardcore punk that is characterized by breakneck tempos, scuzzy distortion and Matsuura's aggressive screams and wails. Comanechi has been a staple at UK and European music festivals like Primavera, Camden Crawl and Offset, where its visceral performances have resonated with fans of no-nonsense, straight-forward punk. In 2011, Comanechi expanded to a three-piece after taking on a new live drummer, allowing Matsuura to focus purely on her intense vocal delivery.
