Malpas

The English band Malpas is a group that's committed to blending modern technology with old world sounds. Formed in 2009, the group plays instruments like the mandolin, violin and glockenspiel, but also incorporates synths, pre-programmed samples and electronic drum triggers. The result is a unique indie rock and baroque pop sound that manages to be extremely approachable. With songs that highlight the band's instrumentally varied approach, as well as the group's lead singer's tuneful voice, Malpas is a band that will no doubt gain prominence in the music scene if it keeps on releasing interesting studio material and touring.
