Cathedral is an English doom metal band. Founded in 1989, the band has succeeded in linking doom metal with the extreme metal style, forming a slowed-down sound that is much heavier. Cathedral has morphed over time from stoner rock to grindcore and back again to death metal. One thing about the band stays constant: it's commitment to heavy metal.
