Formed in Boston, the boy band blueprint that is the New Kids on the Block unalterably and undeniably changed the face of pop music in America. The group's members have changed to some degree over the years, with actor Mark Wahlberg bowing out to focus on his film career, though the group has been surprisingly resilient to personal changes, and even decades of pop music change. The group released a come-back record in 2008 called The Block, after over ten years of hiatus, where the group managed to churn out a relative success, going Gold in Canada. The members have little need for income at this stage in their career, having sold almost half a billion dollars worth of merchandise through out the group's history, however they refuse to let go of their musical passion in the face of financial success, and will no doubt be an international presence for years to come.
