London-based four-piece Hatcham Social formed in 2006, taking its name from the Hatcham Liberal Club in its home town. After securing a lineup that included a former drummer from Klaxons as well as production work by Faris Badwan of The Horrors, the group released its single "Dance as If..." which won the band national airplay on BBC 6Music. Since then, the group has released several albums of post punk-inspired indie rock, which have received highly positive reviews in the UK. While Hatcham Social's style might be a bit too subtle for most American listeners, as the band hasn't exactly caught on across the pond, it certainly has proven a tremendous success in its home country.
