Hail of Bullets is a death metal band from the Netherlands that formed as a result of many a night of thinking and drinking amongst fellow death metal-loving musicians in 2006. Following several fevered sessions of songwriting shortly after forming, Hail of Bullets had more than enough material for a full-length album. By May 2008, Hail of Bullets' debut Of Frost and War was released to major success, particularly noted for its deft use of stories about World War II battles as a basis for the album's concept and lyrical content. Since the band's debut, Hail of Bullets' reputation has spread beyond the Netherlands, and is considered to be one of the more exciting up-and-coming acts.
