Palmiyeler is a Turkish rock band formed in Istanbul in 2013, featuring Mertcan Mertbilek (vocals/guitar), Tarık Töre (bass), Rana Uludağ (drums), and Barış Konyalı (keyboard/guitar). Their music blends surf rock, psychedelic, and indie influences. The band gained attention with their debut Palmiyeler EP (2015), followed by the album II (Venus) (2017), which received critical acclaim, earning spots on the best album lists of major Turkish publications like Milliyet and Hürriyet. Their music videos for songs like "Senden Haber Yok" and "Karbeyaz" further boosted their visibility. Known for creating their own visual works, Palmiyeler’s artistic vision is present in their album covers and music videos. They have since released albums such as Akdeniz (2018), Ben-Hür (2020), and Şeytan Odama Geldi (2021), establishing themselves as key figures in Turkey's indie music scene.
