Rocky Loves Emily is a Detroit-based pop punk band formed in 2009. With a name taken from the popular 1990s kid's movie franchise 3 Ninjas, and a sound reminiscent of punk-tinged pop bands such as Blink-182 and New Found Glory, the six-piece plays light, sugary songs full of big, emotive choruses, bratty vocals and punk rock rhythms. The band's music is so perfectly aligned with the common love-lorn and angst-filled musical tastes of younger teens that it's developed a partnership with the trendy fashion and accessory mall chain-store, Hot Topic. Regularly performing acoustic in-store performances and releasing exclusive EPs at franchises all over the country, Rocky Loves Emily is quickly becoming the new face of the emo/pop punk scene.
