Roc Marciano is an underground hip-hop artist from New York who has managed to climb the ladder of the city's independent hip-hop scene to become a nationally acclaimed act in his own right. Marciano began as a member of the group supporting Busta Rhymes before branching out on his own in 2001, and after a few short years, would become one of New York's most sought after representatives of independent hip-hop. Marciano's debut LP, Marcberg, is being celebrated for its experimental use of poetic narrative, while at the same time reminiscent of hip-hop's east coast style during the 90s.
