Gautier Capuçon is a French cellist who has been performing on the instrument since he was four years old. Capuçon would go on to focus exclusively on learning the cello professionally as a teenager, graduating from France's premier music school, the Conservatoire de Paris in 2000 with several major awards and honors to his name. Since graduating, Capuçon has gone on to perform with some of the world's most prestigious conductors and orchestras, as well as becoming one of the world's most sought after cellists for chamber ensembles (often performing with his brother, Renaud Capuçon, who is a violinist).
