Though she dabbles in everything from folk and blues, to jazz and rock, Dayna Kurtz doesn't really belong to any one particular scene. The New Jersey-based musician relies instead on the dark intensity of her voice to weave her myriad of influences into a unique contribution to the singer/songwriter genre. Kurtz released her debut album, Postcards from Downtown, in 2002 to strong reviews and her later works, like 2006's Another Black Feather, have expanded her sound to add strings, accordions and other instruments to her voice and guitar format.
