Gaspard Proust is an unlikely comedian. Born in Switzerland, Proust was raised in Algeria until he left the country to attend university in his homeland. After graduation, he took a job as a restaurant critic and started to spend his free time writing. Taking pleasure from the fact that his writing was making people laugh caused Proust to contemplate his life and ultimately decide on pursuing a career as a comedian. His keen, intelligent wit shines in his skits and though some might consider his humor a bit dry, it's only because he is a coherent and well spoken individual who shuns slapstick humor.
