Progfest & Wild Thing Presents

Orsome Welles - Adelaide

With Special Guests Overview Effect & Iiah

Melbourne's heavy experimental creatives Orsome Welles will be touring Australia in January-February as part of Progfest 2018, following up on their succesful Rise EP headline tour of Australia in 2017. Their 'Summer Tour' will take in three Progfest festivals (headlined by Norway's Leprous) in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, plus sideshows in Warrnambool, Adelaide and Perth (with Voyager)!

Orsome Welles are a band that defy classification. An unconventional merge of progressive and heavy, overlaid with an early 20th century panache; pounding grooves, infused with intricate instrumentality and raw uncaged power. Their avant-garde show, exemplified by their musical ferocity offset by the soulful, soaring vocals of enigmatic frontman Michael Stowers is a sight to behold.

Since arriving on the scene in 2014 with their debut Erth News Bulletin EP, Orsome Welles have recieved praise from all areas of the international heavy scene. They've supported global heavyweights such as Trivium, Seether, Haken, Orphaned Land and The Ocean, and played with the best of the best of the burgeoning Australian prog-rock heavy scene including Twelve Foot Ninja, Ne Obliviscaris, Caligula's Horse, Voyager, Circles and more!
