Yeah Yeah Yeahs is an art rock band from New York that has remained in the indie spotlight since it debuted with its 2003 album, Fever to Tell. Composed of the enigmatic vocalist/frontwoman Karen O, guitarist Nick Zinner and drummer Brian Chase, the band's instrumentally basic, yet sonically rich sound helped distinguish the Yeah Yeah Yeahs from the myriad of other New York-based alt/indie bands during the early 2000s. As the members of the trio have grown as artists and musicians, the band has matured and evolved--going through a number of music styles from polished pop to lo-fi garage--helping prove that the Yeah Yeah Yeahs are one of the more forward thinking and provocative bands of its generation.
