Frankie Knuckles

Frankie Knuckles (nicknamed "The Godfather of House") has been taking the world by storm since the 1970s with his early sets at the Continental Baths inside the Asonia Hotel in New York City. He gained notoriety when he was asked in 1977 to become a resident DJ at the opening of the Chicago club, Warehouse, taking his samples of soul, R&B, and disco and turning them into nightlife gold. After five years of packed dancefloor's, Knuckles opened his own club, The Power Plant, and later moved back to New York City to become a resident DJ at clubs like The World and The Choice. Today, Frankie spends most of his days traveling the world, continuing to revolutionize the House music sound.
